Collaborating on Land and Sea
VAC Consortium Meeting
November 14-15, 2007
Richland, WA
The meeting was held in the Environmental Molecular Science Laboratory (EMSL) on the campus of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, WA. Hotel & Travel Information
Our theme for this 2007 Fall Consortium was protecting our homeland on the land and the water. Several speakers from the Maritime Domain Awareness at the national and regional levels described the vulnerabilities, threats, and desires for improved technology. While these are national issues, they are almost always implemented through regional methods.
This was combined with speakers and active discussions about threat awareness, national vulnerabilities, and humanitarian support analytics from the Department of State, a fresh view on commercial interests, to partnering with our colleagues to the north in Canada. In addition we addressed new emerging efforts from our National Science Foundation support for visual analytics. We do hope you can come, join in the discussions, and find new partners to collaboratively bring new solutions to these customers.
(The RVAC Technical Exchange occurred Tuesday, November 13.)
